Because sharing is caring, and good karma is always returned, we wanted to share with you our favorite spot for afternoon tea in New York! Janam Tea is accessible via a bunker-type door at the back of The Burgary on the 2nd floor (67 Clinton Street New York, NY 10002). It is Jekyll & Hyde-esque as the space is hosted by Amy Dubin for afternoon tea during the day and transformed into a swanky speakeasy Garfunkel’s at night. The space itself is very 20th century posh and you almost feel as if you’ve been transported out of the city because the ambiance is so calm, quiet, and spa-like.

Amy, the hostess spent quite some time in India so she is very well versed in all things Indian tea.

Your tea service will come with a lovely pot of single-estate Indian tea, a scone paired with clotted cream and jam, sweets like brown butter cookie and pot du creme, and savory tea sandwiches + tarts. Everything, and we mean everything is AMAZING (and made by Amy the previous day). This will be perfect for your girlfriends, out of town friends, or special occasions.

Note: reservations ARE required.

Check out the yummy experience!
